Services for Elmerita Durr Case Whittington of Gloster are 2p.m., Wednesday, June 18, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Old Chapelwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Whittington, 78, died June 16, 2003, at St. DominicHospital in Jackson. She was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 22,1924, to Elmer Durr and Alma Smith Durr.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Philadelphia BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Clinton “Hot” Case; and a grandson, Thad Barksdale.

Survivors are her husband, Gordie Whittington of Gloster; hersons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Sue Case of Madison, and Dwainand Robin Case of Brookhaven; her daughter, Kay Barksdale ofBrandon; her brother, Ben M. Durr of Uvalde, Texas; her sisters,Maxine Thompson of Hazlehurst and Juanita Smith of Atmore, Ala.;her grandchildren, Andy and Sharon Case of Shreveport, La., Shawand Roxanne Case of Madison, Emily and Wesley Ferguson of Brandon,Carrie and Jason Forrest and Hunter Case, all of Brookhaven; andher great-grandsons, Taylor and Tanner Harrison, and PeytonCase.
