Lillian Gertrude Fontenot

Services for Lillian Gertrude Fontenot of Jayess are 1 p.m.,Friday, June 20, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRoberts Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Fontenot, 83, died June 18, 2003, at Lawrence CountyHospital. She was born in Lawrence County on Sept. 9, 1919, toJewett Mason and Minnie King Mason.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Divide MethodistProtestant Church in Lawrence County.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LeelandFontenot; a son, Allen Cupstid; a brother, Clayton Mason; twosisters, Vela King and Vivian Wallace; and a stepsister, DorothyBarnett.

Survivors are her son, Gene Cupstid of Brookhaven; her daughter,Leona Holmes of Newman, Calif.; her brother, Rev. James Mason ofJayess; and her sister, Faye Calhoun of Columbia.

Montez Marie Bryant Williams

Services for Montez Marie Bryant Williams of Bogue Chitto are 11a.m., Saturday, June 21, at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Churchwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon to 5:30 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.

Mrs. Williams, 50, died June 13, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Nov. 20, 1952, to Percy Bryant Sr., andElease Francis Bryant.

She was retired as a nurse from King’s Daughters Medical Center.She was a graduate of Alexander High School, and earned herregistered nursing degree from Dillard University in New Orleans,La. She was a member of Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Dr.Deirdre Denise Sanders; and a sister, Audrey Daniel.

Survivors are her husband, Benjamin “Skipper” Williams Jr. ofBogue Chitto; her son, Dorian Donnell Williams of Bogue Chitto; herbrother, Percy Bryant of West Point; her sisters, Petra Evans ofMadison, and Hazel Patterson of Jackson; two grandchildren; and ahost of nieces and nephews.
