Paul F. Cannon

Services for Paul F. Cannon of Terrytown, La., are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, June 25, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inProvidence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Cannon, 59, died June 22, 2003, at his residence. He wasborn in New Orleans on Feb. 16, 1944, to the late Paul F. CannonSr., and Vera Mae Smith.

He was a retired salesman. He was a member of New OrleansBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother, Vera Mae Smith of Covington, La.; hiswife, Eleva Cannon; his brothers, Thomas Cannon of Marrgro, La.,and H. Brodie Cannon of Covington, La.; his sisters, Brenda JoZeiser and Vivian Dubussion, both of Pearl River, La., Patricia AnnCannon of New Orleans, and Sharon C. Assevedo of St. Bernard, La.;and a host of nieces and nephews.

Yvonne W. Cothren

Services for Yvonne W. Cothren of McComb are 11 a.m., Thursday,June 26, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in SiloamBaptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9-11a.m. at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb.

Mrs. Cothren, 67, died June 24, 2003, of a lengthy illness atUniversity Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in LincolnCounty on April 30, 1936, to the late Arthur Jack Sr. and Eula D.Boling Watts.

She was a retired cashier for TG&Y. She was a member ofFirst Baptist Church, where she was a member of the adult ladiesSunday School class. She was a member of Woodmen of the World.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Jack “Junior”Watts and Harold Watts; and a sister, Annie Pearl Smith.

Survivors are her husband, James Cothren of McComb; sisters,Josephine Richardson and Josie Ainsworth of Brookhaven, KathleenBinkley of Brandon and Margie Brown of Bogue Chitto; and 14 niecesand nephews.

Murray “Sonny” Knight

Services for Murray “Sonny” Knight of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Friday, June 27, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church with burialin Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon-7 p.m., with family hour from6-7 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Knight, 60, died June 21, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 12, 1941, to the lateAlexander Knight and Roberta Knight.

He was retired from Jones Meat Market, and was formerly employedat Southern Wholesale Company for many years. He was a member ofSt. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, and was an Army veteran. He wasa 1959 graduate of Friendship High School.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Odessa PattonKnight; and his sisters, Nancy Knight, Flora Fields and Mary L.Milton.

Survivors are his son, Terrence Knight of Brookhaven; hisbrother, James B. Knight of Hillsborough, Calif.; his sisters, LonaNell Magee of Gulfport, and Betty Johnson Washington of Brookhaven;and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
