Services for Darleen Feronica Knox of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.Monday, July 7, at St. Francis of Assisi Church with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.
Visitation is Sunday, July 6, from 4-8 p.m. at Harrigill FuneralHome.
Mrs. Knox, 79, died July 2, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Hastings, Neb., on Jan. 1, 1924, to thelate Joseph and Anna Engler Elliott.
She was a housewife. She was a member of St. Francis of AssisiChurch, where she was a greeter. She was also a greeter at theKDMC. She had worked with the FBI in Washington, D.C., in her earlyyears. She was a first generation American.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Dalen AllenKnox Sr.; and a son, Guy Elliott Knox.
Survivors are her son, Dale Allen Knox Jr. of West Palm Beach,Fla.; daughters, Ginny Poe of St. Louis, Mo., Katheleen B.Letourneu of Wellington, Fla., and Patricia Methia of New Bedford,Mass.; a brother, James Elliott of Visalia, Calif.; sisters,Lillian J. Elliott of Hastings, Neb., and Evelyn Harr of Denver,Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
