Services for Robert Earl Smith of Gloster are 10 a.m. Monday,July 7, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with burial in RoselandCemetery in Gloster.

Visitation is Sunday, July 6, from 6-9 p.m. and Monday, July 7,from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 86, died July 3, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Franklin County on May 29, 1917, to the late Floyd Sr. andFrances Laird Smith.

He was a retired car salesman. He was a member of the Baptistfaith.

Preceding him in death were his parents and seven brothers andsisters.

Survivors are his sons, Robert Earl “Bobby” Smith Jr., JosephEdward Smith Sr. and Buster Smith, all of Gloster; a daughter, SueSmith Hammond of Brookhaven; two brothers; a sister; and numerousgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
