Services for Sammie Louis May of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, July 19, at Williams Mortuary Chapel with burial inMarshill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10-11a.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. May, 86, died July 13, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on Aug. 5, 1916, to Leon May and Lena MaeMay.

He was retired from the Mississippi Highway Department. He was amember of Marshill Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers, J.C.May and James May.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Ruth May of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Doris May, Charlestine May, Stella May, Elizabeth Mayand Elize May, all of New Orleans, and Effie May, Bessie Evans, andAmanda May, all of Brookhaven; his sons, Rickey May of San Antonio,Texas, Derrick May, Darrick May and Michael May, all of Brookhaven,Antony May of McComb, James May and T.L. May, both of New Orleans,La., Richard May of Chicago, and Harold May of Louisville, Ky.; anda host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces andnephews.
