Services for Martha Lavaun Lawrence Cupit of McCall Creek are 10a.m., Friday, Aug. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cupit, 76, died Aug. 6, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 3, 1926.

She was a retired dietician. She was a member of RidgecrestBaptist Church in Ridgecrest, La.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MonroeJames Cupit; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors are her daughter, Betty Cupit Corley of New Orleans,La.; her son, Gery Cupit of McCall Creek; her sisters, LovidaClyburn of Bogue Chitto, and Lavelle White of Brookhaven; and hergrandchildren, James Corley, Stacey E. Heflin and KristenCupit.
