Z.T. “Bunk” Adams
Services for Z.T. “Bunk” Adams of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Aug. 9, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHoskins Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday from noon – 2 p.m., at the funeralhome.
Mr. Adams, 86, died Aug. 6, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Galveston, Texas, on Sept. 2, 1916, to Oscar E. Adams and FayHoskins Adams.
He was a diesel mechanic, and a member of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Marx of Gulfport;his brother, Luther Roy Adams of Brookhaven; his grandchildren,Richard D. Marx, Brad S. Marx, Laura Max Stanfill and Allison MarxCrabtree; his great-grandchildren, Morgan McKendry Stanfill, LeahMcKendry Crabtree and Dean Wallis Crabtree; and a very specialniece, Debbie Keene of Brookhaven.

Services for Robert Carter Jr., of Bogue Chitto are 3 p.m.,Sunday, Aug. 10, at Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church with burialin the church cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday from 4-7 p.m., with family hour from 7-8p.m., at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Carter, 72, died Aug. 5, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on July 8, 1930, to Robert Carter Sr., andMildred Carter.
He was retired, and was an Army veteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Leora GaytenCarter; and a daughter, Valencia Carter.
Survivors are his daughters, Ann Wrenetha Carter-King ofLansing, Mich., Katrina Carter-Hawkins of Columbus, Ga., YulandaCarter and Latoya Carter-Fairman, both of Memphis, Tenn., AntraCarter-Diggs of Brookhaven, and Levetta Carter of Fayette; hissons, Ronnie Carter of Memphis, and Rene Carter and Ricky Carter,both of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, Mary Helen Godbolt ofSpringfield, Mass., and Flora Black and Barbara Dillon, both ofColumbus, Ohio; his brother, Bennie Carter of Columbus, Ohio; 13grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services for Jesse Lyons of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Saturday,Aug. 9, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon – 8 p.m., with family hour from7-8 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Lyons, 60, died Aug. 5, 2003, at Countrybrook Living Center.He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 10, 1942, to Versie Lyonsand Lillie Mae Ford Lyons.
He was disabled, and was a member of Mt. Olive MissionaryBaptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; five sisters, VirgieMae Lyons, Zatie Mae Lyons, Lula Mae Lyons, Mary Tillman and ClaraMae Lyons; and a brother, Versie Lyons Jr.
Survivors are his sisters, Jessie Lee Washington, Mary L. Lyons,Ollie Mae Lyons and Lottie Mae Lyons, all of Brookhaven; hisbrothers, Willie Lyons and Jerry Lee Lyons, both of Brookhaven; anda host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
