Ann Hobbs Franks, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at St.Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. A memorial servicewill be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. James EpiscopalChurch in Jackson. Mark Seepe Funeral Home in Jackson is in chargeof arrangements.

Mrs. Franks, daughter of Henry Ware and Sara Herring Hobbs, wasborn in Brookhaven on July 25, 1926. She was a graduate of MillsapsCollege and a member of Chi Omega sorority, the Junior League, theWoodland Hills Garden Club and the LeDejeuner, Southern and Mondayluncheon clubs.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Kenneth IrvinFranks; and brother, Henry Ware Hobbs Jr.

Her daughter, Sara Hope Franks, and son-in-law, Michael O. Mooreof Washington, D.C., and by six beloved nieces, nephews and theirprogeny survive her.
