Sidney Myron Bowman

Graveside services for Sidney Myron Bowman of Plaquemine, La.,formerly of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 24, in RosehillCemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Lonnie Case,assisted by Bryant Holley.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-2:45 p.m., at Harrigill FuneralHome.

Mr. Bowman, 51, died Aug. 21, 2003, at Riverwest Medical Centerin Plaquemine, La. He was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 8, 1951, toClifford D. Bowman and Aleene Russell Bowman.

He was a teacher at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College for fouryears. He taught one year and had two years of graduate study atUniversity of Mississippi. He was a member of the Baptistfaith.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother, Aleene Russell Bowman of Brookhaven;his aunts, Irene Thompson of New Hebron, Nell McGraw of PanamaCity, Fla., Jimmie Collins of Monticello, and Elsie Bowman andBetty Ann Evans, both of Brookhaven; and several cousins.

Edward Jackson Mason

Services for Edward Jackson Mason of Jayess are 2 p.m., Monday,Aug. 25, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burial inWanilla Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Mason, 65, died Aug. 22, 2003, at Columbia Health and Rehab.He was born in Lawrence County on July 11, 1938, to Edgar JohnMason and Lois Letchworth Mason.

He was a retired city maintenance worker with the City ofGulfport. He was a member of Wanilla Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.

Survivors are his sisters, Bonnie Piggot of Jayess, and LillieBelle Shelton of Hattiesburg; his brothers, Marvin Mason ofMonticello, and Elzie Mason of Jayess; and a host of nieces andnephews.
