Services for Janie Verlene Hart Gilmer of Bogue Chitto are 2p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilmer, 77, died Aug. 24, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Bogue Chitto on Jan. 8, 1926, to ClarenceHart and Minnie Brown Hart.

She was a retired telephone operator in Vicksburg. She was amember of Bethel Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, JohnQuincy Hart; and a sister, Trevis Hart Moak.

Survivors are her sisters, June Newman of Bogue Chitto, andMartrue Hart Wilson of Magnolia; five nieces; four nephews; and ahost of cousins and friends.
