Services for Pat Turner of Silver Creek are 2 p.m., Monday,Sept. 1, at Arm Baptist Church with burial in Arm CommunityCemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 3:30 – 9 p.m., at Wilson Funeral Home,and Monday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.
Mr. Turner, 80, died Aug. 29, 2003. He was born on Sept. 22,1922, to Jim Cannon Turner and Grace Jane Edwards.
He was a carpenter, farmer and disabled veteran. He graduatedhigh school and attended two years of college. He was a corporal inthe Army, serving in World War II, where he was a prisoner of war.He was a member of Arm Baptist Church, where he served as a deaconand Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a member ofVeterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Ex-POW DAVAssociation.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Lunn D.Turner, James E. Turner Sr., and Rayford H. Turner; and an infantdaughter, Gloria Jean Turner.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Nellie Grace HedgepethTurner; his daughter, Jan Turner Howell of Jayess; his sons,Charlie Turner of Jayess, and Darrell Turner of Silver Creek; sixgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
