Woman dies in Saturday wreck

A Brookhaven woman was killed Saturday night in a two-vehicleaccident on Highway 84, said Lincoln County Coroner-MedicalExaminer Clay McMorris.

Sharmon Ream, 35, died in the accident that happened around 9:03p.m. on the two-lane section of Highway 84 near Jebca Lane.

Ream’s eastbound 2000 Kia Sephia collided with a westbound 1988Lincoln Town Car. The identity of the driver of that car wasunavailable.

Ream was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:50 p.m. by DeputyCoroner John Hart, McMorris said.

“There were no passengers in either vehicle,” McMorris said.

Services for Ream are under the direction of Bearman FuneralHome in Oklahoma.

In another Labor Day weekend accident with a Lincoln Countyconnection, Lacanta McGrew, 21, of Brookhaven, died in aone-vehicle accident Saturday in Highway 61 in Claiborne County.Funeral information on McGrew was unavailable.
