Services for Doris Young Roach of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. Monday,Sept. 8, at First Baptist Church with burial in Riverwood MemorialPark Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Sept. 7, from 4-8 p.m. and Monday, Sept.9, from 8-10 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roach, 81, died Sept. 5, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Winston County on Feb. 23, 1922, to PierceYoung and Mary Ruby Stevens Young.

She was a former housewife, mother and substitute teacher. Shewas a member of First Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, Rosser LevelYoung, James S. Young, Ida Louise Monroe, and Ruth YoungMullendore.

Survivors are her husband of 57 years, W.L. Roach; her son anddaughter-in-law, W.L. Roach Jr. and Deb of Sierra Vista, Calif.;her daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Nan Midkiff and Louis ofBrookhaven; her sister and brother-in-law, Sybil Young Gardner andThad; and her grandchildren, W.L. Roach III and wife Erin ofPhoenix, Brian Lamar Roach of Phoenix, Martin John Bostick ofNashville, and Paige Midkiff of Wynne, Ark.; and hergreat-granddaughter, Kiersten Roach.
