Services for Julius Tyler of Ridgeland are 1 p.m., Saturday,Sept. 13, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Sontag withburial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 7 p.m., with family presentfrom 4-7 p.m., at Tyler Funeral Home.

Mr. Tyler, 95, died Sept. 5, 2003, at Tom Center Drive Hospicein Ridgeland. He was born in Lawrence County on Feb. 7, 1908, toJohn Tyler and Martha Collins Tyler.

He was a retired logger and a World War II army veteran. He wasa member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Martha Tyler;three sisters, Mary Hicks, Irene Tyler and Erma Tyler; and twobrothers, Marcus Tyler and Kaby Tyler.

Survivors are his sister, Tera “Doll” Johnson of Monticello; andhis brother, George Tyler of Monticello.
