Services for Jimmy Ray Burns of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m., Friday,Sept. 19, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in PleasantHill Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at Harrigill FuneralHome.

Mr. Burns, 52, died Sept. 17, 2003, at River Oaks Hospital inFlowood. He was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 15, 1950, to J.C. Burnsand Emma Temple Burns.

He was a carpenter, and a member of Brookway Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother, Emma Burns of Bogue Chitto; his wife,Becky Burns of Bogue Chitto; his sons and daughter-in-law, Steveand Stacy Burns and Nathan Burns, all of Brookhaven; his sisters,Glenda Bessonette of Brookhaven, Billie Reeves and Sharon Copelan,both of Bogue Chitto, and Penny Pierson of The Colony, Texas; hisstepdaughters, Vallery Jordan and Christy Covington, both ofBrookhaven; his stepson, Jonathan Jordan of Brookhaven; and hisgrandchildren, Alex Burns, Alyssa Burns, Austin Burns, ColbyCovington and Lainey Covington.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St.Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
