Services for Ruby Townsend Dennis of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon – 7 p.m., with family hour from7-8 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Dennis, 74, died Sept. 16, 2003, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on May 22, 1929, toHorace Townsend and Della Corley Townsend.

She was retired. She was a graduate of Alexander High School,and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, DianeDennis; her sister, Pearlie Townsend; and her brothers, EddieTownsend and Oscar Townsend.

Survivors are her daughters, Bobbie Broadnax of Star City, Ark.,Della Dennis of Jackson, Jeanette Tanner of Seattle, Wash., BerthaDennis of Brookhaven, and Faye Dennis and Gladys Grishby, both ofRex, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
