Services for Lance Dean Miller of Ridgeland are 9:30 a.m.,Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. James Episcopal Church with burial atnoon at Riverwood Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 6-8 p.m., at Wright and FergusonFuneral Home in Ridgeland.

Mr. Miller, 44, died Sept. 17, 2003, at St. Dominic JacksonMemorial Hospital.

He was owner of Gallery Jewelers. He was a native of Kingsville,Texas, and lived in Jackson for 20 years. He attended theUniversity of Texas. He was a community leader and well-knownphilanthropist, supporting many charities. He was a communicant ofSt. James Episcopal Church, where he was confirmed in 2002.

Survivors are his mother and her husband, Debbie and LawrenceBoyd of Ruth; his father and his wife, Alton A. and Diane Miller ofGeorgetown, Texas; his sister, Mona Floyd of Ruth; his brother,Dusty Miller of Austin, Texas; his partner, Sean Roland ofRidgeland; his nieces, Kelly Miller of Austin, and Nicole Floyd ofRuth; his nephews, Travis Miller of Austin, and Matt Floyd of Ruth;and numerous aunts, uncles and special friends.
