Services for Jamey Rusing of Vidalia, La. are 11 a.m., Monday,Sept. 29, at Stanton Baptist Church with burial in SpringfieldBaptist Church Cemetery. Laird Funeral home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5-8 p.m., and Monday from 10-11 a.m.at Stanton Baptist Church.

Mr. Rushing, 35, died Sept. 27, 2003, at Natchez CommunityHospital. He was born in Natchez on Sept. 13, 1968, to James E. andRebecca Lambert Rushing Sr.

He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are his parents, Shorty and Becky Rushing of BogueChitto; his wife, Lynn Rushing of Vidalia, La.; his daughter,Kelsey Rushing of Wesson; his stepson, Dakota Mooney of Vidalia,La.; his sister, Teresa Trent of Idaho; his brothers, Willie”Brock” Rushing and Jake Rushing, both of Bogue Chitto; hisgrandmother, Liz Lambert of Brookhaven; and numerous aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews and cousins.

James Ollie Stephens

Services for James Ollie Stephens of Monticello are 3 p.m.Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Churchwith burial in Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello. Wilson Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, from 1-3 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Stephens, 77, died Sept. 27, 2003, at Lawrence CountyHospital. He was born on March 18, 1926, to Mamie Raynes Stephensand Houston Stephens.

He was a retired carpenter and painter. He was a member of theBaptist faith and was a Navy veteran. He enjoyed hunting andfishing.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, IvonneA. Stephens; and two brothers, Edward Stephens and WillardStephens;

Survivors are his wife, Virgie Watson Stephens; his daughters,Carol Ann Langston of Silver Creek, Ollie Jean Hamilton ofMonticello, and Sue Everrett of Raymond; his sisters, FrancisJennings of Monticello, Elaine Braswell of Jayess, Alice Cliburn ofPearl, and Linda Goings of Franklinton, La.; his brothers, VictorStephens and Charlie Stephens, both of Monticello; hisstepdaughters, Eva Monroe of Denam Springs, La., Ivy Walters ofGeorgia, and Lula Jean Sanford of Texas; his stepsons, JamesLambert of Denham Springs, La., and Michael Lambert Sr. and OctaveLambert Jr., both of Georgia; six grandchildren; sixstepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Barbara “Patchez” Wyland

Services for Barbara “Patchez” Wyland of Sontag are 2 p.m.,Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Wyland, 59, died Sept. 26, 2003, at her daughter’sresidence in Meadville. She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 19,1944, to Louise Foster May and Royce May.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors are her mother; her husband, Mack A. Wyland; herdaughters, Kristi Oglesby of Meadville, and Shann Huffstutler ofFlorence; her sons, David Caves Wyland and Heath Wyland, both ofSontag; her sister, Brenda Sanders of Grenada; her brothers, RonaldMay and Kenneth May, both of Brookhaven; a host of nieces andnephews; and 10 grandchildren.
