Neva Lee McGee

Services for Neva Lee McGee of Sontag are 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct.2, at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon – 7 p.m., with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. McGee, 90, died Sept. 25, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Franklin County on May 22, 1913, to Clourindia Webb.

She was retired and was a member of Pine Grove MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HermanMcGee; two children, LuRena Green and Arzell McGee; and foursisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Geneva Bates of Sontag, BlancheSelmon of Brookhaven, Anna Davis and Beola McGee, both of St.Petersburg, Fla.; her sons, the Rev. Walter Herman McGee Sr.,Versie Lee McGee, Eugene McGee and the Rev. Robert McGee, all ofSontag, and the Rev. Charles E. McGee of Wesson; 37 grandchildren;51 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a hostof nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary Saucier

Services for Mary Saucier of Wesson are 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct.1, at Newman Funeral Home Chapel in Centreville with burial inKnoxville Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. T.W.Saucier.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Saucier, 81, died Sept. 29, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn on April 28, 1922, to Ottis and Georgia Riley Davis.

She was retired from William Carter Company in Centreville, andwas a member of the Church of God. She was a native ofLouisiana.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LeoSaucier; and three children.

Survivors are her daughters, Clara Kimble of Wesson, and PeggyLambert of Brookhaven; her sons, Harold Saucier of Talladega, Ala.,and Bobby Saucier of Liberty; her sister, Laurie Barber ofFranklinton, La.; her brother, O.G. Davis of Franklinton; 11grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and onegreat-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and friends.

W.T. Shorter

Services for W.T. Shorter of Wesson are 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept.30, at Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst with burial in New ZionCemetery in Braxton.

Mr. Shorter, 68, died Sept. 28, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Shorter; his daughters, LizRickrode of Madison, Ohio, Wanda Carter of Palm Bay, Fla., VickyNettlerville of Centreville, Susan McLeod of Brandon, and Joyce AnnLangston of Clinton; his son, Chuck Jones of Olive Branch; hisbrother, Jerry “Bud” Shorter of Eufaula, Ala.; 12 grandchildren;and four great-grandchildren.
