Services for Archie Lee Dickey Sr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Oct. 4, at Greenwood M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 3, from noon to 6 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary, with family hour from 6-7 p.m.

Mr. Dickey, 79, died Sept. 28, 2003, at the V.A. Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 28, 1924, toJohn Dickey and Cattie Dickey.

He was a graduate of Alexander High School. He was a veteran ofthe U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a member ofGreenwood M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, LoreneDillon Dickey; his second wife, Mary Barton Dickey; his ninebrothers; his four sisters; his stepdaughter, Rose Brooks; and hisgrandson, Claude Middleton.

Survivors are his daughters, Mary Middleton, Thelma Wilbert,Carl Ann Kelly, Dorothy McNickell, Loretta Faye Hughley and CathyWilliams, all of Brookhaven; his stepdaughter, Rita Lewis ofBrookhaven; his sons, Archie Lee Dickey Jr., of Milwaukee, Wis.,and Jerry Lee Dickey of Brookhaven; his sisters, Mary Helen Carterand Earline Williams, both of Brookhaven; his 33 grandchildren, 19great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
