Augustine Adams Johnson

Services for Augustine Adams Johnson of Tyler, Texas, formerlyof Brookhaven, are 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at Jericho Church ofChrist with burial in the church cemetery. Harmon Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 2 p.m., at thechurch.

Mrs. Johnson, 64, died Oct. 13, 2003, at Hospice of East Texas.She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 22, 1939, to Robert AdamsSr. and Ernestine Adams.

She was retired from Tyler Pipe Industries, and was a member ofJericho Church of Christ. She attended Progress High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Janie Adams;and four brothers, John Q. Adams, Willie Dell Adams, David Adamsand Johnny Adams.

Survivors are her husband, Eunice “David” Johnson of Tyler,Texas; her daughter, Marvel Hunter of Tyler; her sons, ClaudeHunter Jr. of Omaha, Neb., Matthew Hunter of California, and RobertEarl Hunter and Kenneth Hunter, both of Tyler; her sisters, MaryDavis of Chicago, Ill., Leatrice Banks of Healdsburg, Ill., BerthaWilliams of Omaha, and Beatrice Tyner, Fredia Buckhaulter andMargaret Kees, all of Brookhaven; her brothers, Tommie Adams ofOmaha, and Robert Adams Jr. of Brookhaven; six stepchildren; 26grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles,nieces and nephews.

Eleanor Wesley

Services for Eleanor Wesley of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Saturday,Oct. 18, at Brookhaven Living Word Christian Center with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary, and Saturday from 1-2 p.m., at the church.

Miss Wesley, 71, died Oct. 15, 2003, at Haven Hall LivingCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 1, 1931, to JamesWesley and Annie Wesley.

She was a graduate of Alexander High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, MagaleneBrown and Ida Mae Henderson; and eight brothers, J.C. Wesley, TommyWesley, Howard Wesley, Artis “Keno” Wesley, E.W. Wesley, JohnJoseph Wesley, Arthur Wesley and Elza Wesley.

Survivors are her daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Wesley ofJackson, Paulette Bryant of Brookhaven, Cindy and Fred Wilson ofBogue Chitto; her sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Ray Wesley, Kimand Lanette Wesley of Seattle, Wash., and Roger Wesley of Jackson;her sister, Alice Ann Dixon of Brookhaven; her brother andsister-in-law, Robert and Margie Wesley of Cleveland, Ohio; fivegrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
