Services for Jewel Thornton McManus of Terry are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Oct. 18, at Baldwin-Lee Chapel in Jackson with burial inTerry Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30-11a.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. McManus, 87, died Oct. 15, 2003, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Galloway United MethodistChurch. She was an avid fisherman. She was a native of CrystalSprings and had lived in Hinds County for 63 years.

Survivors are her husband of 70 years, Charlie McManus of Terry;her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kate “Katie” and the Rev. WileyReid of Brookhaven; her son and daughter-in-law, James Marvin”Buddy” and Bettye McManus of Florence; six grandchildren; 18great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
