Services for Clara Ratcliff Hoskins of Ponchatoula, La., are2:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24, at Catchings Funeral Home in McCombwith burial in Hollywood Cemetery. Services will be conducted byElder Wayne Myers.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., and Friday from noon -2:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hoskins, 92, died Oct. 22, 2003, at North Oaks Hospital inHammond. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 1, 1911, to WilliamThomas Ratcliff and Margaret Magdeline Wilkinson Ratcliff.

She was a retired registered nurse, having worked at McComb CityHospital and McComb Infirmary. She was a native of McComb and aformer resident of Lake Horn. She was a member of Antioch PrimitiveBaptist Church in Lincoln County, and Illinois Central RailroadEngineers and Firemen’s Association for Women.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, S.T. “Red”Hoskins; an infant son; her sisters, Bertha R. Porter, Mae R. Smithand Willie Marie Hall; her brothers, Alton Ratcliff, Fred Ratcliff,Steve Ratcliff and Decatar Ratcliff; and an infant brother.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda H. andArthur Reid Netterville of Ponchatoula, La., and Launa H. and HarrySmith of Baton Rouge, La.; her son and daughter-in-law, James R.and Pam Hoskins of Moss Point; her grandchildren, James R. HoskinsJr., Kenneth S. Hoskins, Whit Hoskins, Sherrod Guy Netterville,Alfred Walchak, Pete Walchak, Mendy Smith, Robyn Smith and Deena N.Wronkoski; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces andnephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
