Bobby Clyde Murray Jr.

Services for Bobby Clyde Murray Jr. of Meadville are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Nov. 1, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial inO’Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Friday from 6-10 p.m., and Saturday from 8-11a.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Murray, 38, died Oct. 29, 2003, in Pike County. He was bornin Meadville on Feb. 18, 1965, to Bobby Clyde Murray Sr. and LindaFaye Wallace Murray of Meadville.

He was a lineman with Frank Laird Construction, and he was amember of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are his parents; his daughters, Amber Murray ofSmithdale, and Lindsey Murray of Cadillac, Mich.; his stepson,Joseph Stewart of Meadville; his sisters, Lisa Ann Smith of LincolnCounty, and Kristi Renea Thornton of Bude; his nieces, BrittanySmith, Victoria Smith and Heidi Thornton; his nephew, HunterThornton; and his special friend, Rose Nevell.

Hugh Dean Thornhill

Services for Hugh Dean Thornhill of Jayess are 2 p.m., Sunday,Nov. 2, at Powell’s Grove United Pentecostal Church in Jayess withburial in the church cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb isin charge of arrangements. Services will be conducted by the Revs.M.L. Dykes and Ray Bowling.

Visitation is Saturday beginning at 5 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Thornhill, 71, died Oct. 30, 2003, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Jayess on Oct. 30, 1932,to Clem Thornhill and Flora Boyd Thornhill.

He was a retired oil field work and a military veteran. He was amember of Powell’s Grove United Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Willie Ruth AlexanderThornhill of Jayess; his daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda andWayne Wallace of Jayess, and Shelia and Frank Chandler ofFarmersville, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and CindyThornhill of Brookhaven; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Carrolland Jo Thornhill, Paul and Marilyn Thornhill, and Wayne and SylviaThornhill, all of Jayess, and Carey and Jane Thornhill of Lucedale;his grandchildren, DaRon Thornhill and Shannon Thornhill, both ofBrookhaven, and Colby Chandler and Cassidy Chandler, both ofFarmersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
