Graveside services for Benjamin F. Hooks of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11, at New Hope Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 12-5 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Hooks, 61, died Nov. 5, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Brookhaven on Nov. 4, 1942, to Winnie Bell Hooks and James HooksSr.

He was retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Emma Kelly;and four brothers, J.Q. Hooks, Willie Dell Hooks, Matthew Hooks andTiny Hooks.

Survivors are his wife, Ludella Hooker Hooks; his sister, LillieMae Hooks of Springfield, Mass.; his brother, James Hooks Jr., ofSpringfield, Mass.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.

Paul Kindle Smith

Services for Paul Kindle Smith of Smithdale are 10 a.m., Monday,Nov. 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MacedoniaBaptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. untilservice time, at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 45, died Nov. 8, 2003, in Copiah County. He was bornin Brookhaven on Sept. 12, 1958, to Maxine Smith and Sam C.Smith.

He was an auto body repairman and a graduate of Hinds Jr.College. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

Survivors are his father and step-mother, Sam C. Smith andVertress Smith of Brookhaven; his wife, Barbara Mae Wolbrecht Smithof Smithdale; his daughter, Annie Maxine Smith of Brookhaven; hisstep-daughters, Missi Robinson of Summit and Rhonda McCoy ofMcComb; his brother, Jeffery E. Smith of Austin, Texas; hisstep-brother, Harrell Stewart of Clanton, Ala.; and fourstep-grandchildren.
