Franklin Co. takes 3 at West Lincoln

The Franklin County boys and girls concentrated on defenseTuesday night and swept host West Lincoln in Jack Case Gymnasium.The Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Bears 52-42 as Shelenia Wilcherscored 15 points and Ashley Weathersby 12.

In the varsity boys game, Eddie O’Quinn sacked 17 points andZach Thomas 15, leading the Bulldogs to a 54-33 thumping of theBears.

The Lady Bulldogs (4-0) broke open a close 20-18 game athalftime by outscoring West Lincoln 17-9 in the third quarter.

Guard Erica Shaw paced the Lady Bears (3-3) with 14 points.Monica Price grabbed 10 rebounds and Alicia Kennedy 8. LyndsayFranklin had 5 steals.

The Bulldogs (4-0) jumped on West Lincoln for a 29-13 halftimelead. Coach Chris Jordan’s team outscored the Bears (2-4) 27-20 inthe second half, limiting them to their lowest point total of theseason.

West Lincoln, coached by Lane Young, was led by guard TylerSmith with 11 points. Kevin King grabbed 5 rebounds.

In the JV boys game, Frankin County posted a 42-33 victory, ledby Ken Allen with 13 pints and Abrom Williams with 11.

West Lincoln got 17 points from Stephen Jones and 6 from AaronShaw.
