Loyd Star senior linebacker Matthew Delaughter has been namedthe Most Valuable Player on the 2003 All-Region 6-2A Football Team.Loyd Star, under the direction of head coach Sidney Wheatley, wasrecognized as Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Honetsto the region championship.

Wesson senior quarterback/kicker Nick Gunter was selected as theMost Valuable Offensive Player along with Madison St. Joe sophomoreReggie Hicks. Gunter was also honored as the Most ValuableKicker.

Loyd Star had seven players named to the First Team, seven tothe Second Team and two honorable mentions.

Wesson had five players picked to the First Team, five to theSecond Team and three honorable mentions.
