Services for Doris Josephine Brister Dunaway of Brookhaven,formerly of Ruth and McComb, are 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, atCatchings Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with burial in Shady GroveCemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. LarryEickenloff.

Visitation is Monday from 5-8 p.m., and Tuesday from 11 a.m.until 2 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dunaway, 83, died Dec. 14, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on July 7, 1920, toBenjamin “Ben” Brister and Bessie Brister.

She was a homemaker, and a longtime member of Shady GroveBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WalterJones Dunaway; her sister, Eva Fleming; her brother, Henry Brister;a great-grandson, Brock Boyt; and a niece, Glenda May.

Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and MargieDunaway of Brookhaven, Glen Dunaway of Jayess, and Phil and WandaDunaway of Felder’s Campground; her grandchildren, Kenneth WayneDunaway, Curtis Glen Dunaway, and Terri Lynn Boyt and husbandSteve; her great-grandchildren, Brandon Dunaway, Cody Glen Dunaway,Dustin Blake Dunaway, Marley Boyt and Taylor Boyt; and her niecesand nephews, Roger Gatlin, Henry “Poncho” Fleming, Kay Johnston,Benny Brister, Randy Brister and Judy Brister.

Pallbearers will be Steve Boyt, Clarence Johnston, Roger Gatlin,Kenneth Wayne Dunaway, Curtis Glen Dunaway, Henry “Poncho” Fleming,Ryan Johnston and Trevor Johnston.
