Services for Bertran Elliott Kyzar of Bogue Chitto were 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial inPleasant Hill Cemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Kyzar, 83, died Dec. 11, 2003, at Sonny Montgomery MedicalCenter. He was born in Bogue Chitto on Jan. 1, 1920, to Jesse F.Kyzar and Lucy Lawrence Kyzar.

He was retired from the Air Force, serving in World War II. Hewas a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Elizabeth AnnHodges Kyzar; and two sisters, Bertile Kimble and OrellHaralson.

Survivors are his daughter, Pamela Diane Kyzar Giles ofCleveland, Ohio; his sons, Perry Ray Kyzar of San Antonio, Texas,and Steven Dale Kyzar of Orlando, Fla.; his sisters, Jesteen Boydand Geraldine Young, both of Summit, Verla Boyte of Brookhaven, andNorva Lee Reeves of Bogue Chitto; his brothers, James E. Kyzar ofWesson, Calvin H. Kyzar of Flora, and Lawrence Kyzar of BogueChitto; and four grandchildren.
