Services for Charles Henry Green of Brookhaven were 10 a.m.,Thursday, Jan. 15, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inConcord Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.
Mr. Green, 74, died Jan. 12, 2004, at Opelousas General Hospitalin Opelousas, La. He was born in Baton Rouge, La. to Henry F. Greenand Lovey Hendry Green.
He worked proudly in the grocery business for over 49 years. Heserved in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He wasa devoted member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven for over 35years. He was also an active member in the VFW and the AmericanLegion. All who knew him will miss him greatly.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters,Berniece Boone and Eloise McInnis.
Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Irene Westbrook Green ofBrookhaven; his sister and brother-in-law, Udalee and Ivy Gill ofBogue Chitto; his grandson and spouse, Jamie and Nicole Darbonne ofLeonville, La., and their three children, Amber, Konnor and Sage,who will sadly miss their Paw Paw Green; his stepdaughter andspouse, Judi and Paul Darbonne of Port Barre, La.; and hisgranddaughter and spouse, Paula and Leroy Lavergne of Port Barre,and their two children, Tre’ and Kiana.
