A memorial service for Gloria Gayle “Gigi” Phillips Sherman ofDallas, Texas, is 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, at St. Francis ofAssisi Catholic Church.
Ms. Sherman, 59, died Dec. 24, 2003, of cancer at ParklandMemorial Hospital in Dallas. She was born in Terrell, Texas, onJuly 18, 1944, to Joseph E. Phillips and Gloria Phillips.
She was a homemaker and in the health field. She was a businesswoman who ran her own holistic health treatment facility, Hands OnHealth, in Dallas. She grew up in Brookhaven and graduated fromBrookhaven High School.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Gloria Phillips.
Survivors are her father, Joseph E. Phillips of Brookhaven; herdaughter and son-in-law, Teresa Carol Sherman Rooney and Steven;her son and daughter-in-law, Jack Michael Sherman III and Sharon;her siblings and their spouses, Thomas J. and Teresa Phillips ofHouston, Texas, Karen and Cy Labat of Austin, Texas, Joan and DougSchuetzle of Tylertown, Gary Phillips of Houston, Ken Phillips ofBaton Rouge, La., and John and Judy Phillips of Brookhaven; heruncle and aunts, Tom and Jean Phillips, and Evelyn Phillips; hermany cousins in Brookhaven; her granddaughters, Shelby, Jamie,Harley and Riley Gayle Sherman, all of Dallas; and numerous niecesand nephews.
