We want to join those who’ve been thanking Gwendolyn Sartin forher 15 years of service on the Brookhaven School District Board ofTrustees.
She resigned her position last week and was replaced by formerDeputy Superintendent Carl Holloway. Mr. Holloway has some bigshoes to fill, but we know he will do an excellent job, too.
Other board members said Mrs. Sartin’s motto during her time ofservice was “Do what’s best for the children.” What an excellentphilosophy. It’s one any school board member, administrator, teacher or parent should try to follow.
