Services for Willie Parms Sr. of Baton Rouge, La., formerly ofBrookhaven, are 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, at Macedonia MissionaryBaptist Church with burial in Hopewell Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 5 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary.
Mr. Parm, 86, died Jan. 22, 2004, in Baton Rouge. He was born inPrairieville, La., on Aug. 5, 1917, to Relious Parms and EmmaParms.
He was retired from the metal salvage business, and was an Armyveteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, AlseeParms; six brothers; five sisters; a daughter-in-law; a son-in-law;a nephew; and a great-niece.
Survivors are his wife, Elizaree Parms of Brookhaven; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Willie Mae Sanderson, and Gloria andIvan Asberry, all of California, Delores and E.J. Putman, and Emmaand Alfred Puschal, all of Baton Rouge, La., Emma and Glenn Rufusand Jackie Tillman, all of Brookhaven, Maggie McCullom of Atlanta,Ga., Jeanette Tillman of Jackson, and Annie Ruth Tillman of LosAngeles, Calif.; his sons and daughters-in-law, Willie Parms Jr.,and Felix and Brenda Parms, all of Baton Rouge, La., Andrew andShelia Parms of Hazlehurst, and Robert and Myrtis Tillman ofBrookhaven; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
