Ward Three residents have important vote

The field is now officially set for the special election to fillthe vacant Brookhaven Ward Three alderman’s post. The slot on thecity board became open last month when the Rev. Jerry Wilson joinedthe board of supervisors as District One’s representative.
Seeking to take Wilson’s place on the city board are DavidHoward, Mrs. Jerry L. Wilson, Clarence B. “Doc” Johnson and GeorgeFaust.
The Feb. 10 election date is just around the corner, but WardThree voters still have time to get familiar with the candidates.It’s important they do so, too. The winner will represent WardThree’s interests at city hall through June 2005.
