Services for Eugene J. “Gene” Hedgepeth of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Friday, Feb. 6, at First Baptist Church with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mr. Hedgepeth, 90, died Feb. 3, 2004, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Monticello on July 6,1913, to John O. Hedgepeth and Hattie Downing Hedgepeth.

He was a retired contractor in road construction. He was a WorldWar II Army veteran, and a member of First Baptist Church. He was apast grand patron with the Order of the Eastern Star. He was aMason and a member of Woodman of the World.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, CubieHedgepeth; and two brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Kathleen J. Hedgepeth of Brookhaven; hisdaughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Chubby Lowery of McComb; his sonand daughter-in-law, Michael and Sally Hedgepeth of Brookhaven; hisstepsons and their wives, Glen and Bobbie Reed of Brandon, andRandy and Le Ann Reed of Franklin, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; sevengreat-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
