Services for Louis W. Smith of Marrero, La., formerly ofBrookhaven, are 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at Community FuneralServices Chapel with burial in New Salem Church of Christ Cemeteryin Brookhaven.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., at thefuneral home.

Mr. Smith, 72, died Feb. 11, 2004, in New Orleans, La. He wasborn in Lincoln County on May 17, 1931, to Earl Smith and LillieLaird.

He was a retired oil field worker.

Preceding him in death were her parents.

Survivors are his wife, Mildred Smith; his daughter, KlyndiaSmith of Irving, Texas; her son, Gary Smith of Harvey, La.; hersisters, Pauline Falvey of Brookhaven, Yvonne Cothern of Natchez,and Marjorie Haney of Crosby; his brother, Curtis Smith of Natchez;two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Willie Mae Smith of Roxie were 11 a.m., Friday,Feb. 13, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MidwayCemetery.

Mrs. Smith, 81, died Feb. 12, 2004, at Franklin County MemorialHospital. She was born in Franklin County on Jan. 18, 1923, to ClemTwiner and Annie Ezell Twiner.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Elmo Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ThomasWilkin Smith; a brother; and a grandchild.

Survivors are her daughters, Dianna Russell of Baton Rouge, La.,and Josephine Pierce and Carolyn Smith, both of Meadville; hersons, Alton Smith of Kentucky, Alfred Smith of Roxie, and HermanSmith, David Smith, T.J. Smith and Ellis Smith, all of Meadville;her sisters, Bess Wallace and Patsy Zumbro, both of Meadville; 21grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
