Voters in Ward Three have a choice to make Tuesday as theydecide who will be their alderman through June 2005.

Mrs. Jerry L. Wilson, wife of the former alderman who became acounty supervisor this year, and business owner George Faustqualified for the runoff on a light day of voting last Tuesday.

Just under 22 percent of the ward’s 1,233 registered votersparticipated. Bad weather likely kept some people away from thepolls.

As we’ve said before, the new representative will play a role inshaping Ward Three’s and the city’s future for at least the nextyear. Here’s hoping for better weather and a better voter turnoutthis Tuesday.
