Graveside services for Fama Eastin Beeler of Bogue Chitto are 11a.m., Friday, Feb. 20, in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Beeler, 85, died Feb. 16, 2004, at Silver Cross NursingHome. She was born in Leon, Kansas on Dec. 19, 1918, to James HarryEastin and Sadie Young Eastin.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Shady Grove BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JamesTaylor Beeler; and her brother, James Merle Eastin.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sondra Jordan andTravis of Bogue Chitto, and Jo Beeler Thomas and Gary of Wichita,Kan.; her sister, Betty Smith of Towanda, Kan.; her grandchildrenand their spouses, John Jordan and wife Mary of Bogue Chitto,Jessica Watts of Brookhaven, Tod Thomas and wife Susan of NewJersey, Jay Thomas and wife Teri of Madison, Wis., and Lissa Reitzand husband Brian of Minneapolis, Minn.; and hergreat-grandchildren, Taylor Watts, Piper Smith, Reagan Smith,Garrett Jordan and Reily Thomas.

Percy Edward Ivey Jr.

Services for Percy Edward Ivey Jr. of Brookhaven are 10 a.m.,Thursday, Feb. 19, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial at2 p.m., Thursday in Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, La.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Ivey, 56, died Feb. 14, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Baton Rouge on Feb. 1, 1948, to Percy Ivey Sr. and Jewel CowartIvey.

He was a construction engineer, and a veteran of the NavySeabees, serving in Vietnam. He attended two years of college. Hewas a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Elayne Kellor Ivey of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Melissa Michelle Ivey of Millville, N.J., Karen LynnIvey of Galloway, N.J., and Kourtnie Jenea Ivey of Houston, Texas;his son, Trey Ivey of Brookhaven; his stepdaughter, Jacquelin Drakeof Brookhaven; his brother, Wesley R. Ivey of Slidell, La.; and hisgrandchildren, Alan, Angel, Alyssa, Taylor and Madison.

Denise Quarles

Services for Denise Quarles of McComb are 11 a.m., Friday, Feb.20, at Old St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Wesson with burialin St. John Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m., with familypresent from 6-7 p.m., at Tyler Funeral Home.

Ms. Quarles, 43, died Feb. 15, 2004, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on March20, 1960, to Jessie Quarles and Selma Byrd Quarles.

She was a former nurse assistant at Countrybrook Living Center.She was a member of Old St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her twin brother,Dennis Quarles.

Survivors are her son, Teire Yemon King of Wesson; her sisters,Edna Quarles, Barbara Jordan and Irene Quarles, all of Chicago,Ill., Selmetra Quarles of Maryland, Laverne Quarles of Atlanta,Ga., and Marlinda of Wichita, Kan.; her brother, William Quarles;and her granddaughter, Ariyah Corayna King.

Sidney Skipper

Services for Sidney Skipper of Brookhaven are 1 p.m., Friday,Feb. 20, at Beulah Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon until 4 p.m., at MarshallFuneral Home, and 6-8 p.m., at the church, and Friday from 11 a.m.until 1 p.m., at the church.

Mr. Skipper, 71, died Feb. 11, 2004, at his residence. He wasborn in Adams County on March 10, 1932, to Willie Skipper andRebecca Watkins Skipper.

He was an automotive specialist with The Budd Company in Gary,Ind. He was a member of Beulah Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Heattended St. Francis School.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Myrtis Skipper of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Jordania Leary of Goldsboro, N.C., Patricia Ikard ofNatchez, and Katerinia Noble and Felicia Small, both of Brookhaven;his sons, Ari Skipper of Atlanta, Ga., and Daron Skipper of McCallCreek; his sisters, Narcissa Houston of Cleveland, Ohio, and ClaraDavis of Natchez; his brothers, Willie Skipper, Nelson Skipper andLandy Skipper, all of Cleveland, Ohio, and Pearly Skipper ofNatchez; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
