Services for Ruby Lee Smith of Caseyville are 2 p.m., Saturday,Feb. 21, at Galilee African Methodist Episcopal Church with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Smith, 78, died Feb. 15, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Dec. 31, 1925, to Asnone Smith and CarrieJackson Smith.

She was retired, and was a member of Galilee African MethodistEpiscopal Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, OdellJohnson; two sisters, Mandy Smith and Mattie Smith; and herbrothers, Willie Smith, R.T. Smith, R.C. Smith, Otis Smith, HenrySmith and Elijah “Puddin” Smith Sr.

Survivors are her daughter, Mattie Williams of Caseyville; hersister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice Pierce and Claude ofCleveland, Ohio; her grandson, Lorenzo K. Smith of Caseyville; hergranddaughter, April L. Williams of Hattiesburg; her devotednephews, James Earl Smith of Caseyville, and Elijah Smith Jr. ofUnion Church; and other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
