Services for Harold L. Denison of Monticello were 2 p.m.,Saturday, Feb. 21, at Monticello Baptist Church with burial inMonticello Municipal Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Denison, 79, died Feb. 18, 2004, at his residence. He wasborn in Walthall County on Feb. 9, 1925, to Dean Denison and JessieOla Hall.
He was a retired school teacher. He was a member of MonticelloBaptist Church. He was a member of Monticello Masonic Lodge, andMonticello Eastern Star. He was secretary of Lawrence CountyDemocratic Party. He was past Superintendent of Education inLawrence County. He was a member of Mississippi Association ofEducators. He was past president of Mississippi Association ofEducators of Copiah County.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers.
Survivors are his wife, Josie Denison of Monticello; hisdaughter, Elizabeth Ann Dickson of Monticello; his son, DeanDenison of Memphis; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Hobgood of NewOrleans; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
