McCOMB – The Brookhaven High Panther tennis team posted a 4-1match win over the McComb Tigers Tuesday in their 2004 seasonopener.

“We’re a young team,” said Brookhaven tennis coach David Misner.”I liked the identity they established in their first match. Thefought very hard and played as smart as they could.”

Misner’s varsity won four matches in straight sets, losing onlyin boys doubles.

Brookhaven travels to Terry Thursday. The matches begin at 4p.m.
