Fredrick Callis Roberts
Services for Fredrick Callis Roberts of Spring Creek, La., were1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19, at McKneely Funeral Home in Kentwood, La.,with interment in Spring Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts, 66, died March 17, 2004, at Hood Memorial Hospitalin Amite, La. He was born on March 14, 1938 to John Allen Robertsand Leonarda “Ardie” Randall.
He was a bus driver and a welder.
Preceding him in death were his father; two brothers; and twosisters.
Survivors are his mother; his wife, Margaret Crawford Roberts ofKentwood; his sons, Dwayne Roberts of Kentwood and Andy Roberts ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Mary Ann Harrell of Baton Rouge and DaisyFortenberry of Progress; his brother, Otis Roberts of Abbyville,La.; four grandsons; and four step-grandchildren.
Jean Malta Cooper
Services for Jean Malta Cooper of Roswell, Ga., are 2 p.m.,Saturday, March 20, at Roswell Funeral Home.
Visitation is Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m.until 2, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cooper, 66, died March 17, 2004.
She was a kindergarten teacher.
Survivors are her husband, Garland Lee Cooper; her daughters,Lisa Carole Cooper and Cindy Cooper Furman; her son, Michael ScottCooper; her sister, Stella Reschke; her brothers, Frank Malta andMichael Malta; two grandchildren; and several nieces andnephews.

Rena Andrews Smith
Services for Rena Andrews Smith of Brookhaven are 1 p.m.,Saturday, March 20, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, March 19, from 5-9 p.m., at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Smith, 89, died March 18, 2004, at Hospice Ministries inJackson. She was born in Walthall County on Oct. 4, 1914, toWilliam Howard Andrews and Letha Conn Andrews.
She was a buyer and seller in merchandising of ladies clothingfor 45 years. She served as a volunteer for auxiliary at King’sDaughters Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church andRuth Sunday School Class. She attended Brookhaven PublicSchools.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert LeeSmith; two sisters, Leno Samantha Freeman and Euna Mae DeAbate; andher brothers, James Elmo Andrews, Roy Lee Andrews and RobertTalmadge Andrews.
Survivors are her son, Thomas Howard Smith of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Salena Lofton Edwards of Jackson; her sister, DorothyLouise Steele; her grandchildren, Mindy Lofton Tew, James HarolLofton Jr., John Carol Lofton, Joel Robert Lofton, Vanessa LynnSheppard, Salena Renee Williams and Thomas Conn “Jubal” Smith; and13 great-grandchildren.
