Services for Mary Lentee Bell Smith of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Tuesday, March 23, at Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church withburial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary, and Tuesday with family present from 10-11 a.m., at thechurch.

Mrs. Smith, 85, died March 18, 2004, at Renal Care Group. Shewas born in Lincoln County on April 18, 1918, to Otha Bell andAmanda Bell.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Wade MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EltonSmith Sr.; a daughter, Anges Hunter; and three brothers, Johnnie B.Bell, J.C. Bell and Augusta Bell.

Survivors are her daughters, Anna Lee Smith, Annie RuthRobinson, Dianne Wallace and husband Darnie, all of Brookhaven, andLaTwana Smith of Columbus; her sons and daughters-in-law, Belbertand Bertha Smith, and Willie B. and Floreen Smith, all ofBrookhaven, Elton Smith Jr. and wife Willie Neal, McKinley and LouSmith, and Lee Edward and Pam Smith, all of Chicago, Ill.; hersisters and brothers-in-law, Elma Lee and C.B. Shannon ofBrookhaven, and Mildred and Othella Spencer of Chicago; herbrother, Tyree Bell of Chicago; 21 grandchildren; a host of great-and great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Delores Holmes; anda host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
