Services for Wilmetta Bryant of Las Vegas, N.V., formerly ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27, at St. JamesMissionary Baptist Church with burial in Rose Hill Church Cemeteryin Columbia.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.
Mrs. Bryant, 75, died March 15, 2004, at Sunrise Hospital andMedical Center in Las Vegas. She was born in Tylertown on Nov. 24,1928, to Thomas Ladner and Ardessa Abram Ladner.
She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Mark Missionary BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, LeslieBryant.
Survivors are her daughter, Judye P. Conner of Las Vegas, N.V.;her son, Arlington Gladner of Las Vegas; and sevengrandchildren.
Edward Leroy “Heavy” Dean Jr.
Services for Edward Leroy “Heavy” Dean Jr. of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Saturday, March 27, at Tyler Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Mt. Zion Cemetery.
A register book will be available from noon until 5 p.m. Fridayat the funeral home.
Mr. Dean, 45, died at his residence. He was born in Belle Glade,Fla., on Sept. 27, 1958, to Edward Dean and Wysa Sanders Dean.
He was a substitute bus driver for Lincoln County Schools. Heattended Center Street Church of Christ and had attended Old St.John in Wesson. He was baptized at an early age. He grew up inWesson and attended Eva Harris School and Loyd Star School. Heloved to train horses and work on cars.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his mother, Wysa Sanders Dean of Brookhaven; hissister, Georgia Henderson of Brookhaven; and a host of otherrelatives and friends.

Services for Emma Farrar of Wesson are 2 p.m., Friday, March 26,at Stringer Family Funeral Services Chapel with burial inBeauregard Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Farrar, 90, died March 24, 2004, at her residence.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert L. Farrar; ason, Robert F. Farrar; and a grandson, Matthew Dodd.
Survivors are her daughters, Patricia Parks of Ore City, Texas,Rachael Hamilton of Wesson, Emma Jane Dodd of Hazlehurst, and NancyAlley of Geneva, Fla.; her son, Calvin Farrar of Pearl; 15grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and threegreat-great-grandchildren.

Services for L.J. Hamilton Sr. of Bogue Chitto are 4 p.m.,Thursday, March 25, at Wellman Baptist Church with burial inWellman Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Thursday until 4 p.m., at the church.
Mr. Hamilton, 75, died March 23, 2004, at his residence. He wasborn in Copiah County on Jan. 27, 1929, to Thomas Hamilton and MaryWalker.
He was a logger with Dunaway Logging. He was an Armyveteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters and threebrothers.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Jane Hamilton of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughters, Elizabeth Holcomb of Wesson, and Debbie Waldrop andDarlene Hayes, both of Bogue Chitto; his son, L.J. Hamilton Jr. ofBogue Chitto; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for James Herschell Varnado of Ruth are 4 p.m.,Thursday, March 25, at Topisaw Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Varnado, 61, died March 23, 2004, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Toledo on Oct. 21, 1942, to JamesGriffin Varnado and Virgie Lewis Varnado.
He was a carpenter and construction worker. He was a member ofTopisaw Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Stephanie Varnado of Ruth; his daughterand son-in-law, Stacy and Gene Freeman of Crowville, La.; his sonsand daughters-in-law, James Varnado Jr. and wife Debbie of Gilbert,La., Michael and Gloria Varnado of Winter Springs, Fla., andJeffrey Varnado and Jacki Varnado, both of Ruth; his sister andbrother-in-law, Viola and Allen Cupit of Bogue Chitto; his brother,Louis Varnado of Upper Marlboro, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and onegreat-grandchild.
