Brookhaven golfers second in invitational

Cody Jordan shot a 1-over par 71 Wednesday, leading Brookhaven’sPanthers to a runners-up finish in the Brookhaven Invitational GolfTournament at the Brookhaven Country Club. On a windswept, sunnyday, Brookhaven posted a score of 307, 18 strokes behind tournamentchampion Madison Central (289).

Madison Central’s Matt Ellis was match medalist with a 1-under69. Brookhaven got a 78 from Brandt Hinton and 79s from AustinMills and Phillip Hammond.

“I’m really proud of our guys,” said BHS golf coach Steve Huey.”I believe this is the first time we’ve ever beaten Terry in a golfmatch.”
