Services for Carrie Mae Brown Martin of Monticello are 2 p.m.,Saturday, April 3, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Martin, 87, died March 31, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lawrence County on May 15, 1916, to Sylvester Brown Sr. andJoanann Brown.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Friendship MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, four siblings and anephew.

Survivors are her daughters, Julia Brown of Monticello, andMargaret Evans of San Jose, Calif.; her sister, Annie LauraCooperidge of Memphis, Tenn.; her brother, Andrew Brown ofMonticello; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and threegreat-great-grandchildren.
