Services for Barbara Gayle Ernest of Monticello are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, April 7, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty withburial in Liberty Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev.Bobby Dawson.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m., at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Ernest, 67, died April 5, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Beauregard on Oct. 20, 1936, to J.F. “Pete” Farrar andMyrtle Little Whittington.

She was a retired supervisor, working with Bell South in BatonRouge, La. for 29 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepfather, HylonK. Whittington; her husband, Sidney Ernest Jr.; and agreat-grandson, Alec Blaise Vohsberg.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel “Danny” andNancy Anderson of Monticello; her sister, Sharon Kay Jackson ofBaton Rouge, La.; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and RoseFarrar, and Scotty and Dorothy Whittington, all of Liberty; and twograndchildren.
