Wilton R. ‘Bo’ Errington
Services for Wilton R. “Bo” Errington of Crystal Springs were 10a.m., Saturday, April 10, at Stringer Family Funeral ServicesChapel in Hazlehurst with burial in Gatesville Cemetery.
Mr. Errington, 69, died April 8, 2004. He was born in Georgetownon January 1, 1935.
He was retired after 38 years of service with Sheldon Labs, “TheGem Plant.” He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in CrystalSprings.
Survivors are his wife, Rachel Phillips Errington; a daughter,Cheryl Byrd; two sons, Jimmy Errington and Mike Errington; abrother, Harley Errington of Georgetown; many special nieces andnephews; and his dog, Scooter.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
William M. Frank
Services for William M. Frank of Hazlehurst were 2 p.m., Friday,April 9, at Stringer Family Funeral Services Chapel with burial inHazlehurst Cemetery.
Mr. Frank, 84, died April 7, 2004, at Hardy Wilson MemorialHospital in Hazlehurst.
He was a sales representative for Protective Clothing. He was anative of Burden, Kan.
Survivors are his wife, Gwen M. Frank; and several nieces andnephews.
Jane Conover Herring
Services for Jane Conover Herring of Ocean Springs are 1 p.m.,Saturday, April 17, at the grave site in Live Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Herring, 91, died April 6, 2004, in Ocean Springs.
She was a graduate of Newcomb College. She lived in OceanSprings for 20 years. She previously lived in Florence, Ala.; andNew Orleans, La.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Dr. John S. Herring;and her sisters-in-law, Sara Herring Hobbs, Julia Herring Perkinsand Harriet Herring Black.
Survivors are her sons, Dr. John Stephen Herring of Saluda,N.C., and Peter Conover Herring of Ocean Springs; her sister, BarrBelden of Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren; threegreat-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pat W. Reed
Services for Pat W. Reed of Brookhaven are 11 a.m., Monday,April 12, at Clear Branch Baptist Church in Wesson with burial inthe church cemetery. Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Reed, 70, died April 10, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on Aug. 29, 1933, to Jewel and LesterWilson.
She was a retired secretary from Becker and Associates. She wasa member of Clear Branch Baptist Church in Wesson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, PaulWilson and James Harold Wilson; and a grandson, TrentKillingsworth.
Survivors are her husband, Harold Reed of Brookhaven; son,Michael Brown of Brookhaven; daughters, Sandra Thomas, SharonTarver, Sheila Killingsworth and Stephanie McMorris, all ofBrookhaven; three brothers, Wayne Wilson and Glen Wilson, both ofBrookhaven, and Harold Wilson of Daphne, Ala.; 16 grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mamie Viola Kinchen Sykes
Services for Mamie Viola Kinchen Sykes of Holden, La., are 2p.m., Monday, April 12, at First Pentecostal Church in DenhamSprings, La., with burial in Sykes Cemetery in Holden, La. GeislerFuneral Home in Albany, La., is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5-10 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until2 p.m., at the church. The Revs. Ray Johnson, Paul Dickson, TonyRoberts and Malcolm Meyers will conduct the services.
Mrs. Sykes, 83, died April 9, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn to Robert E. Kinchen Sr. and Edna Owens Kinchen.
She was a homemaker. She also owned Sykes Grocery in Manchac,La., for 26 years. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Churchin Denham Springs.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, R.B. SykesJr.; a son, E.L. Sykes; two grandsons, Robert Earl Sykes andJeffrey Neil Sykes; and two sisters, Ruby Stewart and MaryTaylor.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Prokop andClaude Ray of Springfield, La., Norma and Joe Stewart, and Elaineand Ralph McCullen, all of Holden, La.; her sons anddaughters-in-law, Tommy and Diane Sykes of Maurepa, La., EarlMalcolm Jr. and Debbie Sykes of Hammond, La.; a daughter-in-law,Lois Nicholas Sykes of Manchac; four brothers, Elwood Kinchen ofDenham Springs, Norman Kinchen of Groves, Texas, Murphy Kinchen ofBaton Rouge, La., and Robert E. Kinchen Jr. of Denham Springs; 20grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Brandon Sykes, Julius Prokop III, Raymond G.Blount Jr., Randy McCullen, Joshua Wright and Bradley Sykes.Honorary pallbearers are Michael Prokop, Edward Prokop, AlexProkop, Kevin Blount, Darren Blount, Gregory Sykes and Earl MalcolmSykes Jr.
Earl Tarver
Services for Earl Tarver are 3 p.m., Sunday, April 11, atBrookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in AldermanCemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Tarver, 69, died April 9, 2004, at Baptist Hospital inJackson. He was born in Brookhaven on March 24, 1935, to Mr. andMrs. Quitman Tarver.
He was retired from the American Can Company of New Orleans,La., after 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.After retiring, he became involved in organizing the ZetusVolunteer Fire Department, in which he served as president. Heworked part-time with the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. He was amember of New Prospect Baptist Church. Through his retirementyears, he enjoyed living on the family farm and raising cattle withhis son. One of his greatest joys was his grandchild to whom he wasaffectionately known as PaPa T.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, JamesTarver.
Survivors are his wife, Glenda Montgomery Tarver; his daughtersand sons-in-law, Tammy Tarver Barnes and Joe Barnes of Brandon, andSonda Tarver Johnson and John Johnson of Morton; his son, WalleyEarl Tarver; his sister and brother-in-law, Elaine Barber and ClarkBarber of Slidell, La.; his grandchildren, Jana Johnson, MarshallWest, Joseph Barnes, Jonathon Barnes and Kara Beth Johnson; andmany nieces and nephews.
