Buccaneers whip BA 8-1

FRANKLIN TON, La. — Matt Sessions fanned 15 batters and walkedthree to lead the Bowling Green Buccaneers to an 8-1 District 4-AAwin over the Brookhaven Academy Cougars Tuesday night.

Hunter Posey absorbed the loss, working the first four inningwith three runs allowed on four hits, four strikeouts, four walks,three hit batters and one balk.

Jonathan Strong pitched the final two innings with three hitsallowed, three strikeouts, two walks and one hit batter.

At the plate, Strong, Cole Hodges and Trey Allred directedBrookhaven with a single apiece.

Brian Williams and Will Bulloch belted a home run apiece forBowling Green. Bulloch also singled twice. Williams added a double.Adam Pace singled twice.

Junior varsity

Brookhaven thrashed Bowling Green 15-2 in the JV game. PaxtonKing pitched the victory in three innings with six strikeouts.
